As a graphic designer and motion designer, I’ve worked on a lot of user interfaces. But it takes more than just that. Over the years I’ve also developed an understanding of functional UX and game design. It’s a lot to juggle!

 

DESTINY 2

- G A M E -

 

I had the fabulous opportunity to work on Destiny 2 during Year 4 for Beyond Light and a few seasonal releases. It was a true pleasure to work with the largest, most talented, and best organized UI teams of my career. The visual design team at Bungie helped make me a better artist!

SKYWATCH

- S H O R T F I L M -

 

I had the great pleasure of working on the short film Skywatch, directed by Colin Levy. Such a blast to try to develop fictional UIs that had some semblance of believability. We didn’t want them to be generic sci-fi nonsense. We wanted them to be grounded. This meant some degree of “clunkiness” in the design.

STARCRAFT II

- G A M E -

 

I worked on StarCraft II at the end of its life cycle. As the last UI artist on the game, I helped ship War Chest and revamped the menu UI one last time. It was truly an honor to work on this game, and with an amazing crew no less! I’m forever grateful for the opportunity and the friendships!

I helped the Overwatch UI team for only a couple months when they needed some extra help—and it was an opportunity to learn their UI system. They were gracious, helpful, and kind to me! It was amazing to contribute in a small way to such a beautiful game.
